Dalian University of Foreign Languages
Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL), located in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, is under the jurisdiction of the Liaoning provincial government. DUFL was officially founded in 1964, DUFL consists of twenty-one research centers and has a total enrollment of over 20,000 degree candidates, including one PhD Program in Northeast Asian Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs, 2 first-level master's programs in Foreign Languages and Literature and Chinese Language and Literature, 17 second-level master's programs and 5 professional degree programs. The university is a national multilingual base for promoting the Chinese language and awarded as the Chinese president office of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It is the Chinese and Russian student’s exchange base and the "Ten Thousand Project" for Hong Kong universities under the Ministry of Education. DUFL is also designated to take in international students sponsored by the Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, and Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship. Over the years, DUFL has been entrusted to undertake 10 overseas Confucius institutes in Russia, Japan, Korea, Colombia, Guyana, Brazil, Armenia, Portugal, Italy and Tunisia.
Dormitory for international students:
Double room: 4800RMB/semester/person;
Single room: 8400RMB/semester/person;
Six-person suite (facing south): 4800RMB/semester/person;
Six-person suite (facing north): 4500RMB/semester/person.
One semester lasts for 4.5 months. Note: summer and winter holiday are not included. The accommodation fees will be charged according to actual length of stay if students stay for more than one semester.
Equipment: ensuite bathroom, 24-hour hot showers, laundry room, public kitchen, satellite TV, and the school’s campus WIFI network (20G/20RMB ).
Application procedures
Login SCS official website (http://scs.edu.cn), click "online application for admission" to enter the online registration system (https://dlufl.17gz.org/), sign up for registration. When applying as an exchange student, please choose "Chinese language student （Exchange Student）" option. A name list of the exchange students shall be provided for verification by the sending institution. After data review is qualified，need to pass the interview, and those who pass the interview can enter the school.
Students who want to study in SCS for more than one semester should do the physical examination in a state-run hospital six months before applying for a visa, and keep the original X-RAY report, blood test report, electrocardiogram and physical exam record, etc. Students shall bring Acceptance Letter, JW202, and physical exam record to the Chinese Embassy to apply for X1 visa. Students shall bring the original Acceptance Letter, physical exam record, X-RAY report, blood test report, electrocardiogram and physical exam record to register in required time and extend the visa. Students who want to study in SCS for one semester should bring Acceptance Letter, JW202 to the Chinese Embassy for visa.The registration time is one week before school starts.
